Our Lost Creek Single Origin coffee is a wonderfully surprising coffee from Guatemala. This cup immediately grabs you with tamarind, butterscotch caramel, and dried cherries tasting notes with a well-rounded body.
Lost Creek is one of those fun climbing routes that's innocently added onto a longer ride when you're feeling great…and then it just gets you. You're feeling good on a Dam Loop or on your way back from Fitzhugh Rd. Maybe you just did a quick run out to Bee Caves or to the Cuernavaca Loop and you want to add some elevation. Great, let's hit Lost Creek.
From Bee Cave Rd, you innocently turn south onto Barton Creek Boulevard hitting "that descent." Then it's grimpeur time...up and up and up some more...until you get to Lost Creek Boulevard. Hang a left and there's a brief slight descent and then it's time for some steep "wall" descending and ascending repeats until you finally chicane down and finally hit the "lost creek;" better known as Barton Creek, at the bottom.
Once you cross the bridge, then its just up...you're tired...it's tough...it's a challenge...but it's totally worth it. Two short miles and approximately 1,000 feet of climbing through the circa 60s-70s Lost Creek subdivisions. Plus you'll get bonus points if you detour onto one of the insanely steep and short side roads (again, more "walls") along on the climb up from Lost Creek. Austin, Texas is awesome that way. And yeah, you can't climb in Austin. Lulz.
