Ladera Norte has a special place in our hearts because it's the first Grimpeur Bros. Single Origin coffee from our original line up that we sold out! And it's arguably one of the toughest wall climbs in Austin, Texas.
Ladera Norte Single Origin coffee is always one of our "told you so" coffees. Sometimes people are skeptical Colombia but we've been longtime champions of Colombian specialty coffees. When we started, we made a point of making Ladera Norte our one stand-out Colombian coffee. Ladera Norte is always a "Cup of Wow."
Now you could say Ladera Norte is a short, almost mile climb with an 8% average grade in the North Cat Mountain area of Austin. Then you probably haven't climbed it yet. With pitches rumored to be 20%-24%, yes 20%-24% (not a typo), Ladera Norte is one of Austin's most infamous "walls" among cyclists in the know. The road is literally in your face when you climb its pitches...It's brutal. It's epic. In fact, we have friends that LUV do hillpeats on it. GRIMPEUR!
And when you add Ladera Norte to the Jester, Mesa, New West, and Courtyard climbs...they’re all within a couple of miles of each other...it's Grimpeur time! #YouCantClimbInAustin
